Books I've recently read

  • *I Am Number Four, Pittacus Lore- gets better every time
  • *THE DAUGHTERS, Joanna Philbin- even better the second time. In a word, FANTABULOUS
  • *GONE, Michael Grant- good, but kind of freaked me out

Labor Day

These are my furture boat....... if all goes according to plan, my 16 birthday present :)... sick huh?
Over Labor Day weekend, I lost more sleep than I gained!!!! Wasn't very helpful.... I also went boating. We were in Mud Lake (Utah Lake) and I jumped in and it felt like a vat of evil mud tried to eat me. But, alas, I swam away before it could suck me down into a watery grave. :) I also got some air on the wakeboard, which is amazing for me because I don't usually jump. I mean, my cuts are nice I just wimp out before I hit the wake. so yeah....... that's the end.......

hunger games

OH, AND THIS PICTURE OF HUNGER GAMES IS AWESOME!!!!

kiwis

Is it just me or does this picture make the kiwi look disgusting??? This is what it will look like when it's planted inside your stomach
Meet the kiwi bird...... The smaller version of an ostrich and probably the ugliest bird EVER!!!!

I guess I will talk about kiwis now. Many people like kiwis, but I am not one of them. When you were a kid, did anyone ever tell that if you ate watermelon seeds as a kid they would plant inside your stomach and the watermelon would grow until it grew big and you got fat and you popped? Maybe it was just my family.... Point is, I believed that until I was 8. And when it comes to kiwis, it is for that reason that I can't stand to eat them. THE SEEDS!!!! Of course, if a kiwi grew in your stomach, it wouldn't get as big as a watermelon so you wouldn't pop, but still..... Also, the kiwi bird from Australia is probably the ugliest thing on earth right now (no offense if you have a kiwi as a pet. I hear they're quite loveable). Doesn't really give the fruit a good rep to be named after a bird that looks like a cross between a platypus and a penguin.  Moral of the Story: Don't tell little children the watermelon-seed-myth. They will be too scared to eat fruit with seeds in the future. Also, don't name a fruit after a flightless bird!!
